Terms of Service

• Play fair and be decent to other players.
• Droplets and items are part of the game. They have no cash value and can't be traded for money.
• All sales are final. We don't give refunds, except where the law says we must.
• You can cancel the Workshop Pass any time; it runs to the end of the period you paid for.
• The game is provided as it is, and we can change it.

You can play as a guest. To keep progress across devices, you can make an account with email and password or with Google. Keep your login safe: you're responsible for what happens on your account. Give us a real email address so we can reach you about your account and purchases.

If you're under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission to make an account or buy anything, and they agree to these terms for you. If you're under 13, don't make an account or buy anything.

You can delete your account at any time from the account card in the game (Delete account). That erases the account and everything on it, including Droplets and items, and cancels any Workshop Pass straight away with no refund for the time left.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play Drip N Drop for your own non-commercial fun, and to stream it and make videos of it (see the creator kit). The game, its code, art, music, levels and names belong to us. You may not copy, sell, rent or resell the game or access to it, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.

Droplets are the game's currency. You earn them by playing and can also buy packs of them. Droplets, cosmetics, parts and other virtual items are a limited licence to use inside the game, not property you own.

• They have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money or anything outside the game.
• They can't be transferred, sold or traded to another account or person.
• We may change prices, items, earn rates and what's on sale. We won't take away items you've paid for without a good reason, such as a refund, chargeback, fraud or a breach of these terms.
• If an account is deleted, or closed under these terms, its Droplets and items are gone.

Purchases on the web are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Prices are shown before you pay, and tax is added where it applies. You get a receipt by email. What you buy (Droplet packs, the Starter Pack and other items) is delivered to your account straight away.

The Workshop Pass is a subscription. It renews automatically each period at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Cancel any time from Manage subscription in your account card, which opens Stripe's portal. When you cancel, the Pass stays active until the end of the period you've paid for and then stops; there is no refund for the rest of that period. If we ever change the price, we'll tell you before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

Ads. Once you've spent $4.95 or more in total on the game, you won't get forced ads. Optional ads you choose to watch for a reward may still be offered.

All sales are final. We don't offer refunds or exchanges for any purchase, including Droplets, items, packs and subscription periods, partly used or not, except where the law where you live requires one. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

EU and UK buyers: Droplets, items and the Workshop Pass are digital content delivered immediately. By buying, you ask us to deliver straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to withdraw once delivery has started.

Chargebacks and refunds. If a payment is refunded or charged back, we take back the Droplets it bought, even if that makes your balance negative, and we remove the item or Pass it paid for. A negative balance has to be earned or bought back before you can spend Droplets again. We may block purchases from, or suspend, accounts that file chargebacks we believe are fraudulent. If something went wrong with a purchase, email us first at info@dripndrop.io; if it's our mistake, we'll fix it.

Levels you build in the Workshop are yours. When you publish or share one (by share code or otherwise), you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, show, copy and let other players play and remix it, and to feature it in the game and on our channels, with credit where we can. You can unpublish a level at any time; copies others already made may remain.

Your handle, display name, initials and level names must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonate someone, or break anyone's rights. We can rename, hide or remove anything that does, without notice.

Don't:

• cheat, use bots, mods or tools that give you an unfair edge, or tamper with scores, leaderboards, Versus results or your Droplets balance;
• exploit bugs: if you find one, especially one that grants Droplets or items, tell us instead;
• harass, threaten or abuse other players;
• attack, overload or try to get into parts of the service that aren't yours;
• buy, sell or trade accounts, Droplets or items outside the game;
• use the game for anything illegal.

If you break these terms, we can remove content, reset scores or balances, block purchases, or suspend or close your account, with or without notice. If we close it for a breach, you don't get a refund for anything on it. You can stop playing and delete your account whenever you like. We may also stop running the game or a version of it; if we do, we'll give reasonable notice in the game where we can. Sections 04, 06, 07 and 10 to 12 still apply after these terms end.

We work hard on Drip N Drop, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, free of bugs, or that your progress or data will never be lost, and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We can change, add or remove levels, modes, items and features at any time.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim about the game is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute goes to the state and federal courts located in Washington State. If you live in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring a claim in your local courts. Before going to court, please email us; most problems can be sorted out quickly.

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the game or by email about important changes before they take effect. If you keep playing after that, you accept the new terms. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the game.
